Scotchbrite wheels are excellent for polishing mouthguard material and to polish other surfaces without ruining delicate anatomical surfaces on dental appliances. Good for smoothing 3d printed devices after removing supports.

By using low speeds – around 5,000 rpm – and light pressure the acrylic should not overheat.

Important to use at the recommended maximum speed which is 10,000 RPM max. 5,000-10,000 RPM best.

Options Available:

• Gold/Brown - Rough / hard wheel has the strongest abrasion, excellent for finishing soft liner acrylics. 220 Grit  
• Black/Grey - Medium abrasion 280 Grit
• Red/Purple - Fine / Soft grained leaves a silk matte surface. 360 Grit
